Last Friday, I was doing my homework when my mother asked me to run an errand.She said that she had run out of rice so I went to the supermarket to buy her a packet of rice.While I was walking home,I saw an unconscious old lady.She was walking on the pavement when she fainted suddenly.

I quickly ran to the nearest public telephone to call for the ambulance.The ambulance arrived within five minutes.

The paramedics immediately took out the stretcher and carried the old lady into the ambulance.She was sent to the hospital.

a picnic in the garden

One windy Sunday morning,May decided to oganize a picnic in the garden.She invited her best friend Suzy,Mary,Jane and Jill.May went into the kitchen and asked her maid to prepare some sandwiches,cookies and a jug of apple juice.At ten o'clock,May's friends arrived at her house.They had an enjoyable time chatting with each other.After talking for a long time,May and her friends were thirsty.

May reached for the milk jar on the table.She was not careful and knocked onto the spout of the tea pot.the tea pot fell onto the ground.The spout was damaged and May threw it into the rubbish bin.May's friends went back home at six o'clock.

A week later,Mary was watering the plants in her garden.She saw a bird's nest had been build nicely in the teapot that she threw away.It wasin the rose bush.She decided to pour some milk and cut some fruits for the birds to eat and drink.May also decidedto keep the bird as her pet.

One day,while Tom's was driving home,he saw a durian stall.It wrote''3 for $2."He bought several durians because Tom's family loves durians.

When he got home,his family was excited to see four durians in a bag.Tom's mother quicklywent to get a knife.His father opened up the durians quickly because everyone could not wait to eat the durians.They were tasty.The family had an enjoyable time eating durians.

a morning at the coffee shop

Last Friday morning,my family woke up early in the morning.My father decided to bring the whole family to have our breakfast at the nearby coffeshop.It was very crowded at the coffeeshop.There was a long queue at the stall selling steamed buns It is very popular among the residents in our neighbourhood.There were also stalls selling fried noodles,chicken porridge,"roti-prata",western food and chicken rice.I did not know what to choose because there were so many choices of delicious food.I finally chose the chicken rice of the fragant rice.My father bought everyone a glass of fresh soya bean milk because it is a healthy drink.At every stall,there was a long queue of people lining up to buy their food.There was some assistants taking orders and clearing the tables.We had a hearty time during breakfast time.After that,we went back home ro watch television.

sports day

Last Monday, it was our school sports day.It was held at the Bishan stadium.The contestants were very nervous.The teacher official's hand was poised in the mid-air getting ready to fire the pistol.when the teacher fired the pistol,the contestants started runing as fast as they could to the finishing line.There were some parents among the spectators who stood up to cheer for their children.The stadium and spectator stands were adorned with streamers,banners and balloons.Along the track,there were some red cross members who were smartly-dressed in uniforms.There was a boy joining the high jump competition.He was jumping as high as he could.There was also a javelin throwing competition at the field.A boy was throwing the javelin as high as he could.In the high jump competition,there was an unconscious contestant who had fainted after jumping across the pole.One of the red cross members saw it and quickly asked two of her members to get the stretcher.They carried the unconscious contestant and put on the stretcher and brought him to the sick bay.After three hours,the events finished.The teacher official invited the principal up on stage to give away the prizes.I was very excited because I won a silver medal in the long jump competition.I had a wonderful day

a dog in a manger

One day,a dog called Browny was feeling hungry.It had not eaten for one day.While Browny was walking,it saw a cow and a horse in the manger.It asked,''Do you have any food for me because I have not eaten for one day.'' ''No,we do not have food for you but we have grass.''said the cow.The dog replied,''It is ok,I can eat grass.''Browny went in and ate some grass.He was full.He thanked the cow and horse for letting him to eat the grass.From that day onwards,the dog became friends with the cow and horse.
